The idea for the exhibition came from the necessity of writing about the background and genealogy chapters of the thesis (of my second career), which I wrote as a story of the production of homework and artwork as a student at that art institute (ITAE) and some other memories of my life from that stage.
One of the requirements was to do at least six pieces, so the main ones of my exhibition were the six parts that a thesis (according to the ITAE) must have and the summary, which I added.

La idea de la exhibición nació de la necesidad de las entregas de los antecedentes y genealogía para la tesis (de mi segunda carrera), los cuales escribí como un recuento de la producción de algunas obras, tareas y algunos recuerdos de mi vida como estudiante del ITAE.
Uno de los requisitos de la tesis era realizar seis obras, así que las principales de la exhibición fueron las seis partes de mi tesis (acorde a los requerimientos del ITAE), y el resumen que yo agregué.

I am trying to bring up questions about the denial and the will to make others invisible, the ugly, the error, the non-plan, maybe even what feminine is and its implications. So, I decided to intervene on a fabric with an usual and common design of roses, analyze the pattern and add invasive plants to it also known as noxious weeds, in Spanish “malas hierbas” and its translation as “bad plants”. The “bad plants” are defined in this way because they appear in spaces in which a human had not planned them to appear; they also have the fame of beign destroyers (even if they do not do it always) and they are uprooted. In this way, I am trying to include them in the imaginary aesthetics of the everyday life (from the lower half of the fabric to the bottom).

Estoy tratando de traer preguntas acerca de la negación y la intención de otros de invisibilizar, lo feo, el error, lo no-planeado, quizás hasta lo que es femenino y sus implicaciones. Entonces, decidí intervenir una tela con el diseño común de rosas, analizar su patrón y añadir plantas invasoras también conocidas como "malas hierbas". Las "malas hierbas" son definidas de esta forma porque aparecen en espacios donde un humano no planeó que estén; también tienen la fama de ser destructivas (aún cuando no siempre lo hacen) por lo que son arrancadas. De esta manera, trato de incluirlas en el imaginario estético de lo cotidiano (de la mitad de la tela hacia abajo).

Using a kind of poetic abstraction, I am trying to question the “bad plants” and their incursions that make them become labeled as invaders.
This artwork shows my interest on the thread as a material that allows me to cross out and create; in a way, it lets me make the undesired plant invisible, but also it allows me to make new drawings, and create new living spaces for them.

Usando una especie de abstracción poética, estoy tratando de cuestionar las "malas hierbas" y sus incursiones que las hacen ser etiquetadas como invasoras. Este trabajo muestra mi interés en el hilo como material que me permite tachar y crear; en un lado hace las malas hierbas invisibles, en el otro les crea un nuevo espacio para habitar.

The invasive plantas or “bad plants” which I find on my way and I photograph are being deconstructed from their printed colors (CMYK: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black) through threads with the same colors mentioned above, which are now enclosing (or releasing?) and protecting thems in an artistic work where they are welcomed and allowed to exist. Places where they can live, in a gallery?

Las plantas invasoras o "malas hierbas" que encuentro en mi camino y fotografío están siendo deconstruidas a través de sus colores con las que fueron impresas (CMYK: Cian, Magenta, Amarillo y Negro) por medio de hilos de los mismos colores mencionados con anterioridad, que ahora la encierran (¿o liberan?) y protegen en un trabajo artístico en el que son bienvenidas y se les permite existir. Lugares donde pueden vivir, ¿en una galería?

Sabina Altynbekova is a volleyball player from the Kazakhstan national team who has been heavily and unfairly criticized by a lot of people, not because of the way she was playing, but because of her amazing beauty.
One of her teammates said: “It is impossible to work like this. The crowd behaves like there is one player on the championship”. So, I decided to show the superficiality and the nonsense act that others can transmit (in this case her teammates) with negative labels to her, trying to cross out her existence or making her invisible.

Sabina Altynbekova es una jugadora de volley del equipo nacional de Kazajistán quien ha sido fuertemente e injustamente criticada por muchas personas, no por la forma en que estaba jugando, sino por su gran belleza.
Una de sus compañeras de equipo dijo: "Es imposible trabajar así. La multitud se comporta como si solo hubiera una jugadora en el campeonato". Entonces, decidí mostrar este acto superficial y sin sentido que otros pueden transmitir (en este caso sus compañeras) con etiquetas negativas hacia ella, tratando de tachar su existencia y hacerla invisible.
